- You can download Nvidia drivers right from the Nvidia website, or using an app called Nvidia GeForce Experience.
- If you have an Nvidia GeForce card, you can install the GeForce Experience app to automatically install the right Nvidia drivers.
- If you have a different kind of Nvidia card or don’t want to use the Experience app, you can manually download drivers from the Nvidia website.
- Before you download new Nvidia drivers, use the Windows Device Manager to find out what graphics card you have installed.
For years, Nvidia has been a leader in the field of computer graphics. Many of the most powerful computers on the market use Nvidia graphics cards.
And like any part of your computer, the software on your Nvidia cards — also known as their “drivers” — occasionally need to be upgraded. Keeping your graphics card updated is vital, as outdated drivers can cause all sorts of glitches and bugs.
Luckily, you don’t need to pull the card out of your computer to update its drivers. You can just download new drivers, much like you would update a regular app.
There are two ways to download Nvidia drivers and keep your system up to date, but before you get started, you need to know what kind of Nvidia card is installed on your computer.
1. Right-click the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen, and select “Device Manager” in the pop-up that appears.
2. In the Device Manager, find the “Display Adapters” line and click the arrow next to it. This will show you all the graphics cards currently active on your computer.

It’s hard to explain but in 2007, at the beginning of the cloud computing revolution, Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive decided to go all-in on artificial intelligence. The choice baffled many pundits because AI had been a lost cause for big tech so far.

Nvidia (NVDA) – Get Report said Monday it was partnering with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) – Get Report and its artificial intelligence group to use AI for developing new drugs and vaccines, while building a supercomputer to aid researchers in their work on the coronavirus and other challenges.
Shares of Nvidia, the Santa Clara, Calif.-based computer graphics chip company, were up 3.4% to $540.08, while American depositary receipts of GlaxoSmithKline rose 1.5% to $37.79.
Located in London, GSK’s hub will use biomedical data, AI methods and advanced computing platforms to unlock genetic and clinical data, Nvidia said.
The GSK AI hub will be home to its U.K.-based AI team, including GSK AI Fellows, a new professional training program and now scientists from Nvidia.
“GSK and Nvidia together will help push the boundaries of what AI can do and put vast data sources to work to advance the discovery of new medicines and vaccines,” Kimberly Powell, vice president of healthcare at Nvidia, said in a statement.
In addition, Nvidia said it was building what it called the United Kingdom’s most powerful supercomputer, which it will make available to U.K. healthcare researchers using AI to solve pressing medical challenges, including those presented by Covid-19.
The “Cambridge-1” computer is expected to come online by year-end.
GSK and AstraZeneca will be among the first pharmaceutical companies to use Cambridge-1 for research.
The computer will be a Nvidia DGX SuperPOD system capable of delivering more than 400 petaflops of AI performance. It will rank among the world’s top 3 most energy-efficient supercomputers on the current Green500 list.
Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ:SMCI) announces its attention to support Nvidia’s new BlueField-2 DPUs, which are sampling now.
SMCI will conduct an “aggressive certification program for the DPUs, encompassing a broad range of SMCI systems.
Availability is expected in 2021.
