We’ve all experienced that moment of fear and regret after spilling a drink–whether it’s on the carpet, computer, or bed sheets. If you tend to be clumsy and want to spill proof your home, there are coasters on Amazon that can help you with that.
The TableCoaster from the CouchCoaster Store is essentially a godsend for people who do everything in their power to be cautious and still end up spilling their drinks. The coaster can fit various drink sizes and attach to any surface. With a removable adapter, it can fit mugs, tumblers, bottles, and cans. The bottom of the coaster has a micro-suction base that “creates a strong, temporary bond to flat, smooth surfaces like glass, plastic, metal and wood, leaving no residue,” according to the product description. You can move it as many times as you want, and it won’t lose any sticking power.
You can buy the coaster in glacier white or jet black for about $18 on Amazon. TikTokers–who commented on a post from @teresalauracaruso showcasing the coaster–say it’s the perfect work-from-home gadget. Amazon reviewers say the coaster is ideal for pet owners. “Cats have been outwitted,” one five-star reviewer wrote. “I had to laugh watching my cat bat at it trying to figure out why he couldn’t throw it forward off the coffee table.”
Whether you have pets, kids, a lot of tech, or have truly never spilled anything but always live in fear of it, these coasters might help with your struggles.

It’s been over a year since a Starbucks cup mysteriously found its way into Winterfell during an episode of the last season of Game of Thrones. The episode, “The Last of the Starks,” featured a scene where the House of Stark allies are celebrating a dramatic victory and a Starbucks coffee cup can be seen in the background…and the creators of the series are finally speaking out about the mishap.
It all went down in May 2019, and though that seems like lightyears ago, the confusion and humor of it all is still fresh as ever. Not only did fans go crazy over the appearance of a coffee cup in the middle of one of the most dramatic episodes by posting and creating memes, but there was so much speculation about who left the cup there in the first place. Spoiler alert: Emilia Clarke once revealed it was Conleth Hill’s, who played Lord Varys.
In an upcoming book by James Hibberd called Fire Cannot Kill A Dragon, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss talk about the whole incident. The Hollywood Reporter obtained an exclusive excerpt from the book and Benioff said he “couldn’t believe it.”
“When we got the email about it the next day, I honestly thought someone was pranking us, because there had been things before where people were like, ‘Oh, look at that plane in the background!’ and somebody had Photoshopped it in. I thought, ‘There’s no way there’s a coffee cup in there.’ Then when I saw it on the TV I was like, ‘How did I not see that?’”he says in the book.
Weiss then added that they missed it when shooting because they were so focused on everything else: “I’d seen that shot one thousand times, and
Despite what some haters may say, iced coffee is a viable drink of choice all year long. When you’re not in the mood for a hot beverage, iced coffee is a bit more refreshing, but it can be hard to make at home when you have to wait for your warm cup to cool down. Thankfully, other people seem to have this problem too, and that’s why the genius HyperChiller exists.
As the name so cleverly suggests, the HyperChiller can cool down any drink in seconds, meaning you can get a fully hot cup of coffee from your Nespresso or Keurig and put it in the HyperChiller for it to become cold. The whole process takes 60 seconds at most, so for those who don’t have the time or patience in the morning to wait for their coffee to cool down, it’s an ideal purchase.
The HyperChiller uses water to cool down drinks, so all you have to do is fill it with water and place it in your freezer before use. This also means the product is totally dishwasher safe, unlike other similar products that might use artificial gels as a cooling method.
Arguably the best part, though, is that while the HyperChiller prides itself on just how quickly it can turn coffee from hot to iced, it works on any other drink too. If you forgot to chill a bottle of wine before happy hour or prefer your juice cold, you can use the
