Freeform Christmas Movie Schedule 2020: What Made the List?

frozen-movie-let-it-go-slice

The air’s a little chillier, the leaves have started changing, and everyone’s decorations are getting nice and spooky. You know what that means, right? It’s time… to start thinking about Christmas!

Freeform just announced their month-long block of Christmas movies they’ll be airing all throughout the month of November (aka Christmas: Origins). We’ve got bonafide classics like Home Alone, Disney-blessed “seasonal gifts” like Frozen, and, um, The Hunger Games franchise. What do you think Peeta got Katniss for Christmas? A new bow? I’ll take my answer off the air.

Check out Freeform’s full “Kickoff to Christmas” programming block, beginning on November 1, below. And for some more, um, “seasonally appropriate” programming, here’s our favorite Halloween movies of all time.

A “disinfection” cabinet that zaps coronavirus could be the must-have gadget this Christmas as manufacturers launch a range of anti-COVID appliances amid demand for professional levels of hygiene in UK households.

The cleaning cabinet uses UV light to kill bacteria and viruses on the surfaces of personal objects such as keys, mobile phones, bags and toys.

The gadget, which looks like a microwave and costs £199, has been put on the market by the electrical brand Beko.

It is part of the brand’s “Hygiene Shield” range, which also includes a fridge with a disinfection drawer and tumble dryer with a UV setting. The products were rushed into production after a poll of Beko customers in 31 countries found widespread concerns about domestic hygiene.

The company said the products are designed to provide consumers with “peace of mind that their homes are safe and clean.”

Online electrical goods retailer AO.com said there had been a huge rise in searches for terms such as “anti-bac” and “steam clean” on its website, according to the Guardian.

Sales of steam cleaning appliances have shot up by 140% this year, compared with 2019, while demand for washing machines with 90C wash cycles and steam settings rose by 87%, according to AO.

Unilever highlighted a jump in demand for soap and cleaning products supplies during lockdown which looks set to continue.

Netflix’s First Christmas Movies Drop This Month! See All the Holiday Programming

Netflix

The holidays are right around the corner, and Netflix is about to drop some new, festive must-see shows and movies to help get you in the spirit!

Netflix’s jam-packed holiday programming begins no later than Oct. 28, with the streamer’s first release, Holidate, followed by Operation Christmas Drop on Nov. 5.

The latter stars Kat Graham, who also appeared in 2018’s Netflix Christmas rom-com The Holiday Calendar. She recently told PEOPLE that she loved the “humanitarian aspect” of this particular script.

“I love the fact that it was about a real mission that the Air Force does every year,” Graham said. “I loved that I was playing a congresswoman’s aide, [working] to shut down the mission. In a lot of ways it was the opposite to our last film, as this character was a bit of a Grinch. It was so much fun to read, and even more fun to shoot. It’s the most fun I have ever had on a set.”
